Other version of this bible text is “those who HOPE in the Lord…”
Thus, WAITING = HOPING. When we wait upon the Lord, it doesn’t mean aimlessly lying around waiting for a miracle to happen. No! The following words of the passage clearly suggest that we should spread our wings and fly high like eagles. God doesn’t want us to be stagnant. He wants us to prosper and explore broader horizons! He wants us to run the extra mile. He gives us the freedom, the strength and the courage to pursue greater things that are pleasing to Him.
Don’t just stay on the dock, start rowing your boat and let God be the wind that direct your sail! :)
i choose JESUS, the one who first CHOSE ME! <3
A good friend of mine once said,
When a guy says to his ‘future ex-gf’ WE ARE DONE. What he’s saying is that, ‘I just need space’
But, When a girl says to her ‘future ex-bf’ WE ARE DONE. She really did mean what she said.Is this true? Guys, gals? I don’t know how accurate this is, but I’ve witnessed it. Guys would break up with their girlfriends, but later on they would go run after their ex’es, while gals when they say, ‘WE ARE DONE’, Boy, you better believe it. You and her.. are DONE.
Last Sunday Night I listened to our pastors message. He preached on Romans 6. What specifically stood out to me was verse 11.
So you also must consider yourselves dead to sin and alive to God in Christ Jesus. - Romans 6.11
How powerful and how true is this verse in our lives? Are we really declaring it in our daily walk with God that we are fully dead to our old self/sins and that we are alive to God and living for God because of Christ Jesus?
I have to admit, I have my days where I like the idea of righteousness, more than I desire to live a righteous life.
I like the idea of purity, more than I desire to live a pure life.
I like the idea of being a Godly Man, more than I desire to become more like a Man of God.
I like the idea of Worship, more than I desire to live a worshipful life. A life that’s full of constant offering and sacrifices to God through my actions.
I like the idea of being a Christian, more than I desire to die to my self everyday so that I can be like His Son Jesus Christ, everyday. We need a reality check folks. I know God did it to me last Sunday Night. Having all these knowledge without applying them.. is pointless. To continue in sin and abuse God’s grace and say, ‘I have freedom in Christ, He gives me grace, He will forgive me, therefore, I can just continue in sin.’ , - Well let me tell you, you are LOST my friend. Pray for a revival in your heart.
Being a Christian is not only just making all these decisions, but to make every decisions rooted in a burning DESIRE to please and glorify God. You are no longer slaves to SIN. When Christ died on the cross and He rose from the grave He did it all. When you put your faith in Christ, you DIED to your sins as well and you are no longer slaves to sin, but slaves to righteousness.
Just like relationships. If you know you’re in a bad relationship, but your flesh wants to stay with that person, but you know that it has to COME TO AN END, it’s hard isn’t it. But you know it has to be done. Because something better is coming and you have to be patient and be wise. Breaking up with old sins, habits, patterns, routiness and saying, ‘I AM DONE WITH SIN’ is a hard choice to make, but it’s needs to be done. Because only then we can be fully free from the bondage of SIN and start embracing our new identity in Christ. Saved & Redeemed.
Check your heart, Let God speak to you and desire Him more than anything in this world, then He will show you His glory and majesty and will use every bit of you for His glory.
In Christ,

“You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what He has promised”(Hebrews 10:36, NIV)
What are you believing God for today? Promotion? Healing? Stronger relationships? Deliverance? God has promised all these things to you in His Word because it’s His heart for you to live in blessing and wholeness. When you follow the will of God by obeying His Word and precepts, it opens the door for His promises to be fulfilled in your life. You may be doing all the right things today — don’t give up! Perseverance will carry you to the promise.
Perseverance means that you are focused, that you are believing what God says about your situation. It’s looking away from distractions and any negative, defeating thoughts. Perseverance looks away from discouragement and looks to the Word of God. Perseverance has a voice, and it says things like, “No weapon formed against me shall prosper! If God is for me, who can be against me! I am more than a conqueror through Jesus!”
Whatever you are believing for today, keep believing! Stand strong and fight the good fight of faith. Ask God to give you endurance, perseverance and patience so that you can see His promises fulfilled in every area of your life!
Faith is like a muscle it must be used to grow stronger. We can look at the men and women in the book of faith- Hebrews- in the bible and believe that we could never have faith like theirs. Maybe we won’t but know that their faith started as ours does- with faith the size of a mustard seed given to us by our Father. It is what we do with that that determines how our faith grows.
One of the most important ways we ‘grow’ our faith is to speak faith words. We speak faith words when we refuse to speak negatively into our situations- instead speaking what God has promised over our lives (destiny) and into our lives (our situations). Our words have power and strength in God’s currency. He will honor them.
We also need to look for faith ‘works’. This is often easier to see in other people’s lives than our own. Look for ways that God has been working in your life and the lives of others. Read other people’s testimonies and miracles and expect to see God working in your life. Trust rises as you see His faithful hand at work.
And always seek Him and His strength in prayer-
“Immediately the boy’s father exclaimed, “I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!” “~ Mark 9 :24 (Note the faith words- I do believe!)
My prayer to You Father- when I cannot believe- help me to believe!
